God Prepares the Way

Acts 10 shows God prepares the hearer, working in Cornelius's heart and sending an angel; he prepares the preacher, correcting Peter's assumptions through the vision of the sheet; and he prepares both for the heralding of the gospel through ordinary human witnesses. The sermon calls us to worship a God whose providence is never careless, and to share Christ with enthusiasm, knowing God is already at work.
